i have an 83 gmc k1500 and i was wondering if its possible to flip the leafsprings upside down to make it higher i know they do it on campers and stuff so i was wondering if it would work on a truck also

You can do it but the springs will break easier if you do any offroading.

99 Silverado40 is right. I did it on an old F-250 farm truck I had. I wanted a cheap lift and thought it would work. After about a month of driving on the farm (it was just a truck drivin strictly on the farm) the passenger side snapped like a tooth pick. It will not take kindly to servere bumps and especially towing a hay wagon thats loaded as when they broke the hay wagon spilled. (That was real fun let me tell ya picking up everybail - and youknow how farmers load trailers - all over again). Just my 2 cents.

Yes, you can flip the leaf springs on a truck, but it can change the ride and handling. Make sure the springs fit and the bolts line up. Check the shocks and brake lines after flipping. It is better to do it with the right parts and tools.
