Good Old 1 Tons

Guys,
I've been gone so long that most of you don't know I ever existed lol:)
However I'm back with a question. I am in the market for a 1 ton dually to pull a goosneck trailer with. My question is what are some good older trucks for this job? I need it to be diesel, have a manual transmission, and be easy to service. I am also on a budget...that is the deciding factor on this search, money.

Anyway I would like to hear your thoughts,

DC

I would say an old Ford 7.3 or Dodge Cummins (with a manual they seem to be very good trucks). There seems to be mixed reviews on the older Chevy Diesels. I guess it depends on your budget.
