Help with buying a clutch
 

Hello everybody .
I have a 2004 GMC 1500 Sierra. 4.3 , 4 x 4 , 5-speed manual
After 249,000 miles of overwork , the shaft coming out of transmission went smooth . I got a remanufactured trans on order , but my mechanic told my to get my own clutch kit . I don't know anything about them and was hoping some folks here do . What do people recommend buying , and recommend avoiding ? Any input would be appreciated , thanks .

On that particular vehicle, I can't imagine there being much of a difference in clutches? I'd probably just head to Napa and order whatever they have
