lift help

i have a 97 3500 cheyenne and im looking to lift it 4-5 inches. i dont want to go and drop 1500 on a suspension kit so if i were to buy an add-a-leaf kit from skyjacker to put it up 5" would i have to modify anyhitng else to mantian a decent ride and thrn what would i do to the front to level it up that high? or do you think blocks would be a better choice all together

RE: lift help

For the rear new springs are almost always the way to go. Blocks are dangerous. As for the front there is really no way to lift the front that high without some sort of suspension lift kit . Unless the year you specified was a typo. Your best bet is to get a complete sus. lift kit. It going to be expensive any way you go.
