Undecided Truck Buyer
 

Hi, I will be buying a truck in the next week or so. I need a truck to haul loads 2-3 times a month. The most I would haul would be 10k.

I am interested in the 2009-2014 F150 crew cab and the 2014-15 Silverado 1500 double cab 5.3L with the Max Trailering package. If I get an F150 I am
uncertain about the 3.5L ecoboost and the 5.0L V8. However I would want the max towing package in the F150.

Give me pros and cons of each truck and/or engine. If you have towed with either truck, I would be interested in hearing your mpgs while hauling as well as MPGs with no load. What are the average maintenance costs of each? I want to hear your experiences.
