Ventshades: In Channel or tape-on?
I updated my post in GM trucks but not this one. I went with tape-on Autoventshade Ventvisors.

The guy at Advance Auto pretty much voiced my concern for me. He said, in-channel look great, but are you willing to mess up a $200 window motor over a visor? The answer is "no". I'm very happy with the results. When I bought the truck in August last year, I had 3 "must haves" I wanted. Running boards, a toolbox or tonneau cover, and ventvisors. Now I have all three!
Now if one of you could help me talk my wife into a bull bar......

For ventshades, both types work. In-channel ones fit into the window channel and stay in place without tape. Tape-on ones stick to the outside of the window frame with adhesive. In-channel usually looks cleaner and can be removed without leaving residue. Tape-on is easier to install if the channel is tight or worn. For your GMC, either will work, but in-channel is often preferred for a longer-lasting fit.
