I finally brought in my truck last week. (I procrastinate). I initially took it back to the camera installer, they were stumped, didn't know how their work would cause the prob. So since my dealer had recommended that shop, they honored my warranty and fixed it. It was a fuse! And just like you, I had looked at every fuse I could that had anything to do with dome, dash, reverse lamps, etc. I asked service advisor which fuse it was, he said he could ask, but didn't know offhand. I probably should have insisted on finding out, but was just glad it was fixed. Thanks for your reply, because I told him beforehand that I could only find one other guy with the same problem online and that it was a fuse. That probably made it such a short fix time for me. He was real stumped when I showed him the problem, said "that's a neat trick".
    Thanks again!

Hey, sorry for the late response. Haven't been on in a while. I'm assuming you fixed this?
This started happening after I got keyless entry installed. I check all of the fuses and none were blown. Took it back to the same place and they fixed it, told me a fuse was blown which I'm SURE wasn't. They checked out the ECM under the dash and told me to leave the truck with them. They resolved the problem. I'm pretty sure when they were wiring the camera in they messed up some wiring. If they find out what they did they will be able to fix it. Such a strange problem to have

    Hi,
Have you fixed your dome light problem? My truck is doing the same thing. Pushing the dome turns off the dash lights. Plus some dash lights not working. Very strange. I had a backup camera installed and then noticed this problem. Just wondering if you resolved it. Thanks!
