Hi Kevin. I used to belong to the "Truck Forum" but that one longer exists. I am looking for some specific GMC troubleshooting info - specifically for a 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE Z71. I am getting a "permanent" P0455 LARGE EVAP Leak code. I will create a new post but will share the issue here 1st:

My father is in his late 80's and just bought a 2002 GMC Sierra Z-71. He lives near Missoula Montana. Need to help him with this truck.

Thank you for the information. I take it there is nothing specific in the owners manual.
FYI
My relative in Powell, WY has a 2002 Duramax. With his Blackstone Laboratories reports he is up to 11,500 miles before his oil change, but he adds a quote at ~9,000 miles.
I have a '99 Dodge Ram Diesel and (2) '06 VW Jetta TDI's.

I am very familiar with engines that require specific types of oil. VW Jetta is a good example:
Gas Castrol 505.00
Diesel Castrol 505.01
A VW diesel engine can fail if another oil is substituted due to the seals inside.
