I have 6 months left here in afghan and i need to figure out how i want to build my 1984 single cab 3/4 ton 2wd silverado before i get back. Currently i am trying to figure our how to keep decent highway mpg without sacrificing low end power. As of now i plan to buy a blueprint 383 long block and use a nv4500 granny 5 with 3.25 gears in my gm 14 bolt rear end. any opinions or experience with the combination?
