Thumbs up another new guy...

my truck is a 74 chev flat bed wood hauler but it see's mud when I choose but the DNR laws prohibit mudding like we used to do...

74 chev K20 with 350 4 barrel,350 turbo, the truck has GMC K2500 axles, dana 44 front with Aussie locker and 14 bolt rear with Detroit Locker... Lift amounts to 4 inch suspension and @ 3 inchs of cab lift, done by previous owner with hockey pucks and whatever...

the truck has been hauling wood thru the tight forest trails rubbing trees occasionally for years and it is really ugly with dents and assorted rust but it is kept well tuned, adapter on the intake manifold with a 4160 holly converted to a 4150 without the rear accelerator pump hooked up,you had to convert the carb so I could use Holly off road fuel bowls... This is what you had to do before Holly made the carb for you,the truck avenger carb I think they call it... headers,K&N air filter...

Tires are two sets both TSL Super Swampers,38-12.50-15 and 38.5-16-15 if I remember correctly... Yes,I ground down the front disc brake calipers to fit the 15 inch rims, work great...

It has never been stopped in snow,we are in the forest here and you don't get drifts but occasionally I do have to air down the tires to 5 lbs to float on top... so far 30 inches of wet snow is the most we have had at once...

used to be a full time 4x4 but I changed it to part time with the GMC axles and then installed a Mile marker center diff kit in the 203 T-case,it is nice to have the 2 wheel drive low range with the conversion, especially with the front locker...

damn ugly dependable truck, never left me walking...
