Dash Cam Tips for Truck Owners

Hi everyone!

We’ve been testing dash cams on trucks and wanted to share a few quick tips for fellow truck owners.

📌 Front Camera Placement: Mount it near or just below the rear-view mirror — keeps it out of sight and avoids blocking your view.

📌 Wiring: Route the power cable along the headliner and down the A-pillar, then connect to the fuse box or 12V outlet. This keeps wires tidy without modifying trim.

📌 Power Options: Hardwiring allows parking mode and constant recording, but be sure to choose the right fuse for switched vs. constant power.

We’d love to hear from the community:
  • Which dash cam model do you use?
  • Any tips for glare-free placement or neat wiring?
  • Photos of your setup are always welcome!
Sharing experiences helps everyone optimize their dash cam installation.

Thanks for your input!
