Hi all, new to the site and have a question for themechanics or fanatics. I had a 98 ram sport 4x4 w/5.9 that had about 170k on it when I got rid of it. I had replaced the tranny and rear end at about 118k. At the 170k mark, tranny went again. I didn't plow and towed very little. As far as the truck, I absolutely loved the power, ride, handling, and looks of this truck. I also like the looks of the 2002 and up. So, here is my question......Did Dodge do anything to fix this problem because I am really leaning towards another Dodge, but if it is still the same tranny, I will buy a Ford or GM. Any and all opinions and facts will be greatly appreciated.
