General Question

Hey yall im about to trade in my wrangler for a truck, I tried searching for a general comparison of all the companies but didn't have any luck. What are basic pros and cons of GMC, Ford, Chevy & Dodge. My pop is a ford man and thats all the logic he needs, but im looking for more overview.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, basically you are going to get opinions much like your dad. Most people are fans of one manufacturer or the other. They all have their pro's and con's. Personally I like GM vehicles - they ride the best, are very reliable, parts are fairly cheap, and they are easy to work on. But, like I said, you will get the same opinion on other makes depending on the person your talking to. Figure out which one you like the best cosmetically and go for it, they will all need work sooner or later. (buy a GM truck you won't be disappointed - sorry I had to!)

Another GM vote here also. You'll be happy.

GM fan here. Always loved the pushrod V8's. Ford would be second choice. Never really been a Mopar fan and don't care for the way the Ram looks.

Driven my boss' Ford F250, very nice, but too much truck for me. Haven't got a chance to drive my other boss' F450, but definitely WAY too much truck for me. And just found out the other owner has the newest version of the Tundra, looks about as exciting as a bowl of plain oatmeal.:D

GM gets my vote as well. I'm not overly committed to one brand, but I've had GM and Fords and I always like GM better. Performance is similar I just prefer the look, specifically my new GMC Sierra Crew Cab.

Stay away from Dodge....unless you like a big sack swinging from the chassis!
