Default girl at wits endd

96 ford f150 missing - replaced spark plugs, replaced wires, ensured no wires crossed or connected wrong, runs good for a little while, then misses all over again with same codes: #'s 1 and 4 missing - WHAT IS UP WITH MY TRUCK???

have you tried setting the timing or testing your distributor?

timing is good, I've tested the coil packs - no distributor

I know what is wrong with it... It's that blue oval on the front of it....J/K.... But really...

If it has individual coil packs for each cylinder, try switching #1with #2 and say #3 with #4 and see if it still misfires on the same cylinders or switches the missfire to #2 and #4. That will atleast let you know whether or not it is the coil packs. I would say if you checked the timing and it is good, and you replaced the plugs and wires and set the plugs to the correct gap, that either it is the coil packs or you need a GMC.

Have you check the injectors on 1 and 4 to make sure they are working right?
