GM Guy From CT

Hello everyone. BIG GM guy. Buicks, Pontiacs, Chevy's and my favorite...Sierra's...love them all. My first special truck was a 2005 GMC Sierra SLE Short bed (Sport Bed ). It was specially ordered by a guy who didn't have the money when it came in. His bad luck was my good luck !
Polo Green, and loaded with all the cool stuff. Steering wheel radio controls, power folding mirrors, power seat...Gorgeous

I babied the truck as it was my first company truck, for the company I manage for my older brother. In about 2012, we decided to make it a company truck. I bought a new 2012 Sierra to replace it. Boy do I regret that. Everyday I would see it being used by people who didn't care and getting it scratched. The 2012 was nice but I just wasn't in love with it. Then I fell in love with the new body style of 2015. So I traded the 2012 in for a 2015. But my first love was always the 2005. It was a great color and with the step side and the Z71 4x4 it had a great stance. It recently came back to me. ALL SCRATCHED UP. But no dents, a great 20' truck... you all know what that means...

Still no rust on the cab corners, or rockers. It had a cracked windshield and the driver seat was worn. The pass side had what looked like white paint spattered on it from being parked under a bridge they were painting... the rims I don't think were washed for 6 years. But when cleaned up still looked great. Just not close up. I think every panel had a scratch or scratches. So I decided to have it painted. I'm doing all the dis-assembly myself. I want it done right. Bought a ton of new stuff ( OEM ) to make it perfect again. Moldings, door handles, name plates, factory seat cover and foam, just to name a few.

Then it will be my " Gran Torino " truck. Backed into the garage for me to look at and drive once in a while.

Oh, and by the way, I'm no Clint Eastwood...LOL...

I think I carried on to much. Got a lot of experience with these trucks. Many extra parts too. I hope I can be of help to you all... GO GM !!!!
