Hey guys, I'm the new girl!!
Hey guys! My name is Emily, I’m 20 and I’m from Anchorage AK. I drive a black 1992 GMC sierra. I bought the truck from a very non-mechanically inclined girl about a year ago for $700. She said that she was told that all the truck needed to run was a fuel pump. I bought it thinking that IF it was just the fuel pump then I just got a smokin deal, but I knew that if it was worse, I might have to put a new motor in it.
I replaced the fuel pump and it got it to run, and when it did, I found the real problem, there was a rod thrown. I bought a crate motor from NAPA and installed it in a weekend. After that was the body work. While the girl before me had it, she was backing out of a parking spot and pretty much t-boned herself on the car next to her. I pulled all the dents out and it needed a new fender, so that got replaced as well. As you can see in my pics, it had the work truck front end on it, so I got a newer grille and headlights to put in too. I sprayed it black, shaved the tailgate, and put a poll pan on it. There’s tint all the way around. It’s a clean looking truck now after the huge transformation it went through. Let me know what you guys think!! Thanks for reading!
