New here
Hello all
Well I just got my 1984 GMC 2500 high sierra dually on the road. So far so good, been fighting me a bit, it was sitting a lot so had to run cleaner through it. It was running bad, but after it shot a nice big blue flame from the carb, it runs good now. It has a crate 350 in it, though I have had a few say it sounds beefier then a 350, I can tell you after I got on it today, I am sure I had a few little imports shaking in fear! ;) It has some little things still, like a busted fender. My father said that is a very common thing with these. But I love it, use to own a 1967 Chevy long box, didn't think I would find another truck I liked as much, but it seems I have. :D |
Welcome to the truck forums Katt
Glad you joined... I have a ton have respect for those who chose to drive the classics as their daily drivers and not fall for the temptation and convenience of the technology and comforts of the late model trucks. Welcome Don't forget to post up some pictures of your 67 and your new 84 in the Chevy sub forum |
Thank you! Nothing against the new trucks mind you, I love the chevy duramax. But the older trucks are just more my style. I miss my 67 but it went to a good home. Father and son are fixing it up together, they are going to keep me posted and send me pictures of it as it gets done. I did post a picture of the dually, I think I got one of the 67 some where.

I'm with you my friend... I may drive a 07 Silverado 2500HD But I still have a soft spot for the Tri Five trucks and Chevy's square bodys
I'm currently working on one of both. I.m doing a transplant of a 86 Chev body onto an 87 Chev 4x4 chassis And in the corner of the garage is my 57 chev truck project waiting for some attention |
