Hey, glad I found this forum!! Now I can talk with other truck owners!! I have a '97 Chevrolet HD Fleetside Cheyenne 3/4 Ton Work truck, it may be plain, but it never fails to outpull other gas 3/4 ton trucks!! I am thinking about replacing the 5.0 Liter Vortec 5700 350 with a 454! I am not completely sure if it will benefit my truck though. Any help will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

the issue that you would run into is the electronics of the two...the ECU and injection process would have to be retuned.

Oh, well I talked to some people. They said it would be better to just have my current engine "Worked on" to add horsepower, I did not know what can be done to gain a little more torque and HP, I know people that owe me, so since they are mechanics they will be the ones to "upgrade" my Vortec. Can someone tell me what they could do to better my engine?
By the way, thanks for the help on my previous post. Thanks for your time.

If u want a little boost put on K&N cold air, air, and oil filters. Also if u bore out your cylinders it would help
