Newbie-- at the count of 4 and hope not out.
Where I am, it's hot-- California desert. I live here all year round and find more things to do than I get finished. Rather spill-over time so that chores or endeavors accumulate.
The first was a '74 Chevy truck which someone wanted, and I got a Baja Bug and some cash. Then, I got a 68 Chevy which ran forever but gas prices were beginning to climb. Friend wanted it and away it went. It's being turned into a personal custom. 3rd came a 67 Ford Ranger that someone handed over for services rendered as he was moving up to Northern Cal. Now gas was really high and the Ford was getting 8 to the gallon. It went to someone in construction. Now, I have a 1988 GMC Sierra 1500-efi- and I hope I am not down and out. I am ready at any moment for a sigh of relief. I have out-vehicled myself and this Jimmy I really like. Clean design. I'll now take the problem to the appropriate category/thread. Someone asked me how long I had been out here in the desert and I answered, "Well, one day this deep voice came to me and uttered, '. . . and what kind of landscape would you like?'" Fred |
