poor nissan...

I guess those Titans must suck. No one is posting anything worth a crap in here. I like the interior though. That's.... something..... I guess.

They got something going for them, their faster and better off road than a F150, GM 1500 or Dodge Hemi, lol! They look nice also IMO, with a good sound and ride height they seem like a real muscular truck. It would've been my second choice of truck. Why would a chevy guy post something like this in a nissan forum?

I like the Titan. I like Nissan. I used to own a 240sx. But I'd rather have my Sierra any day. It would put the 240sx and the Titan in it's place. I wouldn't mind having one though.

I have a 2008 Titan Crew cab. My only bitch is the terrible fuel mileage...

how bad is it?..and why did you buy one?

RE: poor nissan...

It has a 28 gallon tank and I'm LUCKY to get 350 miles to a tank. The best I ever got was on the highway, and I got 400 miles to like 26 gallons...

I bought it because it is the four door and we had to get rid of the wife's regular cab f150. It was only $22k brand new....

The Titans sound good. Thats about the only thing I can say about them.

sound mean with an aftermarket muffler. [sm=happy046.gif]

My friend has a titan that is 4 door black and lifted 6" with 35" tires. He traveled from MD to Arizona and spent $550+ in gas. So that gives you an idea on their MPG. It is a long ride, but thats a sh*tload of money for gas!

Pelicandivebomb 04-06-2009 09:05 AM

I do admit that the Titan with its 32v V8 sounds great with dual exhaust. Some of them look good with a few additions but I personally would never own one. I sat in one and hated those 5 seconds of my life lol. I'm more attracted to the interior of the NBS GM trucks. Plus I smoked one on the free way so I like my truck better.

I say the titans sounds good. But it consume more gas in the long ride. my openion to go with other car.

I don't like Nissan because most of the person says only one thing that is less mileage. I like GMC, Chevy and Ford.

jeslin_G 09-14-2012 08:00 AM

The 2012 Nissan Titan remains a good full-size pickup truck for casual users, but it’s outdone in nearly every way by rivals that are more capable, more customizable and less expensive.

Bad Ass That looks awesome. Finally somebody using his truck for what it was ment for.
Kills me when people buy 4x4 then try and get 34 mpg :(

RustyFordLover 01-11-2013 05:27 PM

I use mine for a truck. I have a 6" lift on order.

And that is a nice Nissan. I looked at one when I bought my truck, but I didn't like it very well, because it doesn't have enough room in the cab.

ItBeMe 01-12-2013 05:07 AM

This is funny, You guys jack them up and than put on some big ass tires and than cry like baby's about gas mileage. :D

I don't cry about mine. I have a Honda Civic that's souped for MPG if I wanna run around for cheap.

I give credit to Nissan for still offering a mid-sized BOF SUV, the Xterra and a mid-sized truck. Too bad they didn't offer a 4cyl turbo Diesel option in the states.

RustyFordLover 01-13-2013 04:06 PM

Ditto on what Diesel Dan said.

goodkill 01-13-2013 04:50 PM

thanks guys;) ive heard rumors of a diesel motor for nissan titans in the not so distant future:)

RustyFordLover 01-13-2013 10:54 PM

I'm waiting for Toyota to come out with one, because I will be at the dealer the day they do.

Trucks are made for work. 4x4 is on trucks because it improves their performance off-road on farms and construction sites. I don't necessarily disagree with you on the mileage issue, however, Nisaan's mileage on the older Titans is abysmal!

Any time you substantially modify a vehicle, you are not "using it for what its made for." By that logic, a kid that turns a Civic sedan into street racer is "using it for what it's meant for!" Nissan would never recommend you lift their trucks and tear around the backwoods in them because it would shorten the life of the truck.

Your truck looks nice and I hope you enjoy it, that's one of the great things about truck ownership, but don't get overly enthusiastic with your claims of what they are meant for.
