I work at 4wd hardware and alot of people prefer wranglers when it comes to off roading the yj's and tj's all get good feed back in the mud as long as you get thje right tires lift and gear ratio you should have no issues if you have any questions on lifts or anything jeep related shoot me an email at jpcox@4wd.com

If your looking for a good mud vehicle wranglers are the way to go yj's and tj's both can be awsome offroad vehicles with the right lifts and tires you can go anywhere but the bigger thetire your gonna have to re gear it any questions my email is jpcox@4wd.com

The jeep camanche's can still be had relatively cheap if your looking for a pick-up. Also when we used to play in the mud the big engine trucks got stuck all the time. So don't get to concerned with a big horsepower motor. There was an older jeep with a 4 cylinder that I never seen get stuck. He spent a lot of time pulling out the fullsize trucks with massive V-8's. Personally I am not a big fan of the s-10 4X4's. Even though I am a Chevy guy I would go Jeep or Toyota.

i have both a full size z71 and two jeeps a 75 cj5 and 90 wrangler I would rather take the jeeps out in the mud anyday.. they have yet to let me down either one. whether it be pulling buddies out or going through a mudhole
