What would you all recommend as a good off-road vehicle?

The two I like are the 1997-2001 Cherokee or the second gen (1973-1991 I think) Chevy Blazer. I don't know how well either perform or how easy/well they can be modified.

Any input or additional suggestions are welcome and greatly appreciated.

Blazer...it is lite, it has a shorter wheel base....hard to get stuck

 

BLAZER!!! I almost bought one of the newer s10 blazers for an ORV but I decided to lift my truck instead and put some money into some other projects. I think I am going to be getting a quad next.

 

I go for Blazer because of its good suspension reliability.
