I've been looking it up, but I need some explanations in layman's terms lol.

I'll be asking a lot of questions in the next few days methinks.

 

They save your life if you roll the truck.

They add support to keep the roof from caving in, in the unlikely event that you roll your truck over... They are also good for mounting extra lights on your truck...LOL!

So far I got:
1. Winch
2. Get a friend's truck to pull you out
3. Off road recovery service
4. you're screwed

 

Well what I learned from my dad is to take sticks and limbs and stuff andwedge them in front of the tires that are spinning so they have something to grab a hold of instead of loose dirt. I've seen him and my uncle do this once and I actually used that once myself at a landfill I got stuck in. Pretty nifty trick!

 

I don't get stuck...........

 

Well I have a 2WD and my back end ways nothing so I find it very easy to get stuck... that's why I quit going offroad.
