truck totaled any tips
 

Hi everyone, my truck has been totaled due to extensive floor damage. Is there any tips you can give me on dealing with the loss adjuster I know not to accept the first offer anything else anyone.
And it was a 05 ford 150 flareside is there any other make that has the flareside/sidestep.

That sucks. Never had one totaled so not sure how they work.

You never have to accept what they offer, you can make them fix it ( friend had an oldernissan 4x4, got t-boned, ins wanted to total it he fought with them untill they paid to fix it). They will go off what "similar vehicles" in your area are selling for. Not what the blue book of your truck is (was) which usually isnt enough to replace your truck.

Another option is to take the settlement (see how high you can get them first), and buy back your truck from the ins. company (usually like pennies on the dollar). Then part it out.
