What is the easiest truck to work on?

I am just wondering, in your guys' opinion, what the easiest truck to work on yourself is?

Do you mean work on as in maintain, or as in make fast as.... Ah, it doesn't matter... Chevy/GMC.

Preety much what me and MrML7 is saying is that we both have chevys and we dont think there is a better truck out there. Nothing beat the 1999 to 2007 chevy silverado 5.3 liter v-8 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive. They are easy to work on and easy the make fast. Hope this helps a little more. Did not have time yesterday to post why chevy is the best.

Alright sweet, thanks guys. I am trying to learn more about working on (both maintaining and improving) trucks on my own. I am still looking for a truck, so there are all sorts of possibilities, but I want a truck that I can learn to maintain myself.

I did find a few Silverados that interested me, but I have no real need for a truck that big for a while (besides that I want one lol) so I was looking at the s-10 and other "smaller" trucks. The only time I will probably need a truck is when I go away to college in approx. 2 years, and idk if an s-10 could hold so much.

(oh I forgot we get snow here in IL so 4wd helps)

Thanks so far guys. :)

I can tell you now that you'll want a fullsize after you get an S-10.

lol alright. I figure that Silverados last a long time, and I found a couple with just over 100k that are well- priced.

Any particular reason you say I will want a full-size after an s-10? Just because it's really small?

Yup... been there and done that... Plus, the fuel economy is about the same. I get about 530 miles to a tank on the highway, in a 26 gallon tank.
