F-350 will stall if not all the way heated before driving...HELP!

I have a 2000 F-350 super duty 7.3 deisel and unless I let it sit and idle after starting, it will stall unless it has warmed up to operating temp before driving off. Can anybody tell me what the problem is, and how to fix it?
