2010 Silverado tow mirrors
 

I'm having a frustrating time trying to figure out which tow mirrors are compatible with my new Silverado 1500 LT. The OEM mirrors are power mirrors, heated, with no turn signals. The first set of tow mirrors we ordered didn't have the correct mirror wire harness connector. This was according to the Chevrolet dealer mechanic who was going to install the mirrors.

What type of connector should I look for on a tow mirror?

Would the truck have the wiring already in place for turn signal mirrors?

When I replaced mine, I went to the dealership and showed them an ad for mirrors from an Ebay company. The dealership looked up the RPO codes for my current mirrors (power + heated- no signals) Then offered to match the price +10% of the Ebay company. So I got actual GM parts for only a few bucks more than the aftermarket stuff. The new mirrors came power, heater, manual telescoping and had the LED turn signals. I installed them and the wire harness was a direct fit and the signals worked. My thought is that the mirrors that you received may have been for the older body design (late 2007-2008 model year)
