94 sierra fuel pump not running truck wont start

This truck has been in my family since the early 2000's and has been well maintained. Many years back my brother had an issue twice where the truck died while running and wouldn't restart until it cooled. We couldn't every recreate the issue and it seemed to have gone away. No such issues for years just good running. 2 years ago the fuel pump was getting weak and causing performance issues so I replaced it, and this may be where i went wrong, with a cheap one from ebay. Had been working great although it was pretty loud when it turned on. Last year my GF drove the truck to her apartment a few blocks away shut it off and an hour later the truck wouldn't start, the fuel pump was kicking on.
I thought the relay went out so after some looking at wiring online did some benchtesting on it and it seemed to be fine. I plugged the relay back in and keyed it up and the fuel pump kicked on. and worked fine for months again.
The truck has been sitting about a month. Last time i went to move it the trans fluid was low and it only made it a couple feet so I left it and hadn't started it or anything. Just today i went out ,was finally able to buy some fluid for it to leak out again, and the battery was dead which is unusual for it as I haven't had issues before with the battery dying so that might be in play. the fuel pump wasn't starting up. after charging the battery it would crank fine and fire if i put gas in the throttle body but no fuel pump.
I tested the relay and again seemed fine checked all fuses under dash and by the relay and all fusible links had power after them so not blown. The PCM wire to the relay didn't have power so it may be a toasted PCM but i later read this only has power for a bit after key on, when i tested it the key had been on for awhile, as the oil pressure switch provides power once it has pressure. My understanding from what i read is that even if the relay circuit is bad u should get the fuel pump to kick on once there is oil pressure but it did not. I also ran a jumper wire from the orange hot to the gray load which i understand should have made the fuel pump run and it did not. If anyone can point me in the right direction or confirm i have been doing tests properly thus far I would appreciate it.
