I completed the first oil change on my Tacoma(2.7l, 2trfe). The filter was so tight from the factory that I cracked the cast iron shield around the filter and it broke off. I need to know, what, if any long term effects to the truck will result from this? I check obsessively and thus far there seems to be no oil leak. I would appreciate any input.
