I think most of the parts are the same. The Tacoma came out in 95 so there will be parts that are different. If you are thinking of buying another truck for spare parts it would depend on the cost of the truck. If it's free go for it. Just remember parts that are under stress it may be better to get new if available like ball joints. If your talking about complete engine or tranny swaps etc you're OK.
