'91 pickup problems
Ok, I recently purchased a 1991 Toyota pickup that had been setting for at least a year without being started. I replaced the battery, checked the fluids etc... tried to start the truck and it would turn over but wouldn't start. I checked the wire from the coil and the connection to the coil was corroded pretty bad so I replaced the coil. Finaly broke out the starter fluid and had some success, the truck will start on starter fluid(will not start without it)and will keep runningat idleif I hold the airflow meter open, however, if I try to throttle up or let the flap in the airflow meter close it stalls and I have to repeat the process to start it again. Any idea as to what would cause this problem? Could old gas be the problem or a clogged fuel filter? Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

maybe old gas....or low fuel pressure I'd say

RE: '91 pickup problems
What would cause low fuel pressure? Should I be able to hear the fuel pump running?
