hey my name is Luke and I am looking for a good pickup that runs good for cheap. I am looking for a truck that I can afford but is still in good shape for a summer project and eventually my first vehicle. if you have any such truck, may no somebody who does, or have a good place to look I'd love to hear. I don't have a major mechanical background but can manage the simpler stuff like replacing brakes,u-joints and such and I have a slim budget but all payment would be in cash. Any suggestions of possible trucks would be greatly appreciated.

A good affordable summer project could be found at you local auto recyclers.
They can set you up with a mildly wrecked truck and also set you up with the parts it needs to get it back to road worthiness.

Buy the truck, then buy the parts as you can afford it. When you done, you will have a truck for 2/3 the black book value.
