I had to replace my tailgate on my 1989 (Same tailgate as the 1998) looked around and LMC truck wanted i think is was around $200 bucks for one.... ended up taking a little trip into the country to the local U-pull-it yard and found a truck where the previous owner had replaced the tailgate before having a head-on crash that put the truck in the scrapyard... i pulled that baby off quick and they charge me $10 bucks for the tailgate...
