Hi guys, I am new to this forum. I moved to Canada (Calgary, AB) last year and I am thinking about buying Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ.

Unfortunately it's very short on choices since last year announcement of not producing it any more.

I am interested into two choices right now (please note in Calgary Alberta):

This truck has good mileage, but it was driven in Fort McMurray area waaaay north in poor weather conditions especially in winter time (-40C/F) usually driven by construction guys from pipeline oil/gas projects. I saw some rust at bottom and around suspension on chasis, but overall looks very good condition, motor is nice and smooth, no pulling either way etc. The only thing I noticed was that I saw exhaust being light gray(like fog) when running at the beginning.

The second choice that interested me is: 2009 Chevrolet Avalanche Vortec 6.0L V8 LTZ for $21,950 in CALGARY | autoTRADER.ca very well mainained, highway mileage delared (but DOUBLE!).

I moved from Europe, so I don't have that knowledge about Chevrolet cars and their lifespan etc.
Any ideas what should I focus on, or why should I prefer one over the other ?
