is it possible to swap an 01 lb7 ecm unit for a 2002 lb7 ecm unit? only because i have heard there are more tuning options available on the 02 computer than the 01. for instance i can't even adjust the tire size on an 01, but is available on the 02. some other things are trans shift points.

can you simply swap the ecm units or is there way more work involved. willing to do some hands on work if necessary if anyone can talk me through it. just buoght the truck, and had i known you can't do anything to the 01 i would have just bought an 02, but that is not an option now.

any info at all would be greatly appreciated

I know the 02 computers have different parameters than the 01's but should still work.
