Default Speedo/odometer not working

Just purchased 1989 Chevy k2500 and the truck is is great condition except for the non operational speedo and odometer. I've replaced the VSS and rebuilt the cluster including new gear in the odometer. I don't know where to go from here. I've seen info on drac modules being in the cluster itself. Is this accurate? I cannot find any external drac module behind my glove box. Any help appreciated.

It's TBI and I fixed it. Forgot to update. Built a new harness and traced the wires to the firewall and spliced in. Must have been some sort of short or something. All good now. Thanks!
