Default trans hose leak

i have a 2006 3500 crewcab w/duramax/allison 6 sp.my lower transmission hose is leaking has anyone had this and was it a easy fix?

That is a characteristic flaw in the tranni cooling lines. GM had a warranty or Bulletin on this fault.

You can ask.. but I don't think your 06 will be covered, but they may be nice enough to print off the solution for you

I'm sure you don't want to hear it, but from my understanding it isn't covered under the warranty. It takes about four of service to complete the job and average costs are around $500 - $600.

Trouble is that the new GM lines they replace your leaky ones with will eventually leak again ! Check All season diesel performance, they have a kit that will eliminate the leaking issue once and for all !

Like Bammer says, there are some awesome after market solution to the leaking trans lines. I've seen some nice braided lines
