Y are the keys so HIGH if they are not coded?? Dealer want's 27.00 for 1 key. walmart, homedepot, ace hardware do'nt carry a blank!!!!!!!!! Any ideas?????????

I had 2 new keys made for my 06 Colorado for $4. each. I went to a locksmith, can't recall the name of the place, across from the Vintage Press restaurant in Visalia, California.

 

I think the cost is more related to where you got the keys than who did some of the design work on the truck. If you are in an area, like where I live, that doesn't have any locksmith "shops," try home improvement stores like Lowes or Home Depot. They may carry the blanks, and there overhead is less.
