Default 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 A/C Not Working

Hey guys,

I've had a a problem with my A/C system in my truck. It only blows hot air. I’ve had the system recharged and checked for leaks, and neither of this were the problem. Any pointers on where to look next?

If your A/C is only blowing hot air and you’ve already recharged the system and checked for leaks, there are a few other things you can check:

A/C Compressor: Make sure the compressor is engaging when you turn the A/C on. If it's not, it could be a bad compressor or an issue with the clutch.

Blend Door Actuator: This part controls whether hot or cold air blows into the cabin. If it's stuck or broken, it might be stuck on hot air.

A/C Pressure Switch: If this switch is faulty, it may prevent the compressor from running.

Electrical Issues: Check the fuses and relays related to the A/C system. Sometimes, electrical problems can prevent the system from working.

Checking these things should give you a better idea of what’s going wrong with your A/C. If you’re not comfortable doing these checks yourself, it might be a good idea to take it to a mechanic.
