i have an automatic 84 chevy s10 and im some having a problem starting it up. every morning when i try to start the car it takes like ten trys before it works but thats the only time it happens in the day everytime i start it after that it starts fine. i recently found out that when i press the gas pedal a couple of times before trying to start the car it wont have that problem of taking ten times to start. what could this be?

 

Its 24 years old I wouldnt worry about having to hit the gas a few times to start it.
