Oil Issues
Hoping someone that is much more knowledgable than me can help me out.
I have a 2016 Chevy Colorado.
I last got an oil change in mid December 2022.
Since the oil change, I have gone through all 6 quarts of oil.
This is pretty normal for my truck. I have to put oil in it once to twice a year. It doesn't seem to be leaking and the exhaust doesn't seem to smoke at all on start up.
The truck always passes inspection/emissions and I have had 3 different mechanics do oil changes and no one has ever told me about an obvious issue.
Until today, I just assumed trucks take more oil than regular cars. (This is the first truck I have ever owned, so what did I know.) But I was talking to a coworker who is a big car guy and he said that seems like a ton of oil to be going through.
Anyone have any thoughts?
I appreciate any help.
