Default rear shocks

Just got my crew cab colorado a couple weeks ago and was wondering if anyone else feels like I do about the rear end suspension. It seems like the factory forgot to install shocks. It feels loose and mushy on bumps. I drive a scion Xb as my everyday runner and it seems glued to the road compared to my truck.
Lets hear your opinions here.

Default Colorado rear shocke

I have looked for rear shocks for my 07 LS and have found that you can only by helper springs or A/M air bags for between 250 - 300 depending on the application you want.
No one makes an airshock for it yet.
