I just bought a 96 S10 for my son. It has a 2.2 in it with a rod knock. I have a 96 cavalier that my daughter was rearended in a few months ago with a 2.2. Does anyone know if the front wheel drive 2.2 from the cavalier will bolt into the S10?

no can't do. the front wheel drive of the s10 can't fit perfectly to the cavalier.
