hey got an 05 colorado extended cab LS... got a new cd player already wasnt that bad to install but now im on to speakers... anyone know about the installation and requirements (size.. etc) on the speakers..

 

6 1/2s. Really easy, I put clarion componentsin my '06 ext cab. Just pop the door pannels, line them up and drill 4 holes. On the back doors brown is your negative and on the front the dark color is neg. Putting my speakers in took me about 15 min per door.

 

yep real easy install , check out your local best buy for some speaker harness adaptors so that you can plug and play that way if you ever decide to sell the vehicle or want to take the speakers out for any reason the factory ones will still plug right back in .. its just nice to still have a factory harness to use just in case..
