02 sierra cabin air filter?

Default 02 sierra cabin air filter?

hey guys, does anyone know if there is a cabin air filter in my truck? in the parts master filter book it lists one but i dont know where it is if there is one? do i have to pull the glovebox? or maybe it doesnt even have one?

My 2002 Silverado has them. You don't have to take the glove box out. Look under the dash on the passenger side there should be a panel that has 3 screws that needs to be removed. It is a long panel that covers up all the under dash crap. Some of the work truck don't have it. Anyway you will see a small (maybe 2" X 10") panel that runs front to back. It has a screw towards the front and just clips in the rear. That needs to be removed and your filters are in there. There are 2 of them side by side. Pay attention to the replacements b/c some of them are directional.





There are a couple pictures that I found online that give you the basic idea. Remember though there are 2 filters in there.
