Is it under the hood or under the glove box?

Default Flex joint in exhaust pipe

I have a 08 GMC Sierra with the 5.3 motor. Has anyone had an issue with the flex joint on the exhaust pipe failing? Well, it hasn't exactly failed, but it has collapsed onto the crossmember and makes a rattling noise. Of course, the dealer says its not covered under warranty. Any ideas?

Default cabin Air Filter on 2006 Crew Cab 1500

I called the local dealer and asked the parts guy if my 06 Silverado Crew cab 1500 LT# had a replaceable cabin air filter. he asked for my VIN and then after looking it up said my truck does NOT have a cabin air filter. Any one have any info to the contrary on an 06?

Hey,
If you just have the base package, they wont have an in cabin air filter.

My Dad has a 07 Chev with the base package and his has no in cabin airfilter either.

Basically.. you dont pay for it...you dont get it, it probably said in the fine details that there wasn't one when the truck was purchased new.

hope this helps

Default Cabin Air Filter

My truck is an LT3 which was the highest trim level available so i figured it would have one.

They quit putting them in around then so if there is no access panel for it than don't sweat it. I bought one for my wife's 2005 Escalade because it listed one for it in the O'reilly's catalog. When I got home there was nowhere to put it. One less thing to replace!
