I have a 03' Silverado. The center console is the one that flips up and can be a seat. I want to install the center console that goes all the way to the dash. It seems like it should just bolt right on, but where it meets the dash I don't know if there is something you have to do or not. Anyone done this before?

 

Wouldn't you need different seats too? Don't you have the 60/40 bench seat? Mine has the center console with two bucket seats. The console does attach to brackets under the dash and the it is fitted under the the lower dash panels. What about duct work for the venting system? I had a Tundra with the the fold down center console that doubled as the seat back as well and it was a 60/40 bench.

 

Yes it is the 60/40 bench. I am getting new seats first but I was hung up on the center console itself. The only difference that I know of with the seats is the armrest... that sound right?

 

Other than the width of each seat I would guess there is no difference along with the armrest. I would think they would mount in the same fashion. As I mentioned earlier the center console tucks under the lower portion of the dash. I wonder if you would need different lower dash panels as well.

 

Did you manage to get that console installed? If so, was it difficult?
