I am looking at buying a used 2005 or 2006 2500HD 4X4 crew cab diesel. I'm currently looking at two. The 05 has 50000 miles and the 06 has 75000 miles. They are both the same price. I just can't make up my mind which one i should get. I only put about 7500 miles a year. The main reason i want the diesel is for towing my travel trailer. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

 

i would go with the one with less miles

 

Does the '06 have additional trim options to make up the 25,000 miles?

 

They are both LT. only difference is the 06 has dvd and sunroof

 

I think they upped the power in the 06 Duramax to 360hp/650tq from 310/565 in 05. i may be wrong and the 06 should bemated to an Allison 1000 6-speed transmission, I think the 05 might have a 5 speed Allison. Again I'm not sure but i would check into it.
