Default 160 thermostat

I was thinking of getting a 160 thermo. What brands would you recommend. Also what kind of performance or milage gains are to be expected.

Here ya go:

As far as performance gains, it will make your intake and exhaust look bad..... especially for the money!!!

As far as fuel economy, it might help you slightly, but nothing to write home about...

If you do those and the thermostat at the same time, it will be like a different truck...

You should just go buy a Chilton's or Haynes manual and use it's step-by-step procedures. Bout $20 at any parts store. Also, you will need to buy a jug of coolant/antifreeze. It'll have directions on the bottle for the proper mix. You will also need to make sure you buy Dexcool equivalent coolant/antifreeze. It is orange or red. I don't remember. Fairly simple procedure and with the manual it shouldn't take you more than an hour from start to finish. Good luck bro.

Thanks. it was pretty easy. The hardest part was getting the clamp to work correctly.
