ok just bought this truck a week ago.. bought it up north and drove it down to my town.. shifted fine

When i got to replacing things and changing oils and stuff,, i drove it town my streets thats when i noticed when it shifted up into 3rd it wouldnt do anything.. it was almost like it hit neutral.. I really dont want to replace the transmission... If anybody has any ideas about whats going on ur help would be really apreciated..

Did you change the trans filter and replace the fluid?

 

yup
dropped the pan today. filter was really dirty. replaced that. flushed out the transmission, cleaned the pan to.
